The Grid Radio Browser-Based CPS

Post by G4WKW »

In Board index > OpenGD77 information > INSTALLING IN 2026 @PD1FR made an announcement about this web browser-based OpenGD77 CPS:

https://grid.radio/opengd77/

It is still in "beta", but I have tried it with a modified copy of latest codeplug for use on the South West Cluster DMR repeaters covering most of the south west of England, from the Scilly Isle in the West, to as far as Basingstoke in the East.

http://thesouthwestcluster.co.uk

I have put a copy of it in the "Shared Library" on there (but ignore that it says RADIO TYPE: MK22, which should read STM32). Although it does not have all of the features of the normal CPS, it appears to do the most important stuff and I used it to program one of my DM-1701 radios without issue, direct from a Google Chrome web browser, via USB.

There are on-site instructions to install the FW & the donor file. You just have to plug your radio in and download https://zadig.akeo.ie/ (Zadig makes the USB connection visible to the browser)

Many thanks to Rose M1RXO (https://www.qrz.com/db/M1RXO) for Developing it!

Note: I made this post, so people can reply with their experience with it as the original announcement post cannot receive replies.
